The project is a key national digital infrastructure project, covering nine provinces and 35 major islands, with 161 telecommunications base stations constructed.
The project has increased broadband population coverage from 56 percent to 86 percent, helping bridge the digital divide in remote island communities and driving digital development in areas such as distance learning, telemedicine, and emergency communications. It benefits more than 800,000 people across the Solomon Islands.
