Recently, the upgrading and renovation project of National Road No. 7 (Skuon–Kampong Cham section) in Cambodia, undertaken by CRBC, held its completion and opening ceremony. Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet cut the ribbon to mark the opening of the project.

Hun Manet noted that the project is another important achievement of practical cooperation between China and Cambodia, injecting new momentum into the economic and social development of Kampong Cham Province and surrounding areas.

The project is a key transport artery linking Cambodia's National Road No. 6 with the capital of Kampong Cham Province. Spanning 45.5 kilometers, it involved upgrading and widening an existing secondary road into a four-lane primary highway.

Upon completion, the project will effectively enhance travelefficiency between Kampong Cham Province and the capital Phnom Penh, strengthen connectivity between Kampong Cham and neighboring towns, and boost the development of tourism, agriculture, fisheries, and logistics along the route.

It will also improve the regional road network structure and enhance overall transport capacity. As a key component of the Asian Highway Network's AH11 route, the opening of this project has also played a positive role in improving the Asian highway system.
