Bogota Metro Line 1 has recently completed testing of its elevated viaduct, marking another major milestone following the inaugural train mainline test in late May.

Bogota mayor Carlos Fernando Galán visited the site again, rode the train through the entire test journey, and livestreamed the event on his personal social media account, giving residents a real-time view of the train's operation.

The train ran smoothly from Station 1 to Station 4, reaching a top speed of 90 km/h.

The test quickly became a hot topic among residents, with people along the route excitedly taking photos, cheering, and celebrating the progress.

Since the beginning of the year, the project team has tackled challenges such as the rainy season and complex coordination across multiple work areas, ensuring that key milestones were delivered on schedule. The project has now reached 77.35 percent completion.
