The 2026 Happy Spring Festival temple fair launched at Port City Colombo on February 27, drawing more than 10,000 visitors over the two-day event. Sri Lankan Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya issued a message of congratulation to mark the opening of the cultural celebration.

The program featured a diverse range of activities, including artistic performances, intangible heritage displays, a creative market, and a Lantern Festival light show. These offerings provided the local community with an immersive experience of traditional Chinese customs and folk interactions.

A centerpiece of the event was the creative market, which hosted more than 50 Chinese and Sri Lankan enterprises. The vendors showcased a variety of regional delicacies, cultural merchandise, and traditional handicrafts.

The event was free and open to the public throughout, recording a total attendance of over 10,000 people.
