The port's construction created over 3,000 local jobs.

Since its opening one year ago, Chancay Port in Peru has handled over 270,000 TEUs in container throughput and 1.3668 million tons of bulk cargo, continuing to drive the region's socio-economic development.

The port has reduced the sea transport time between Peru and China to just 23 days, cutting logistics costs by more than 20%. Currently, the New Asia-Latin America Land-Sea Corridor, centered around Chancay Port, has opened three main routes and four branch lines, linking major Chinese ports such as Xiamen and Qingdao, as well as reaching countries like Colombia, Ecuador, and Chile, creating a stable and efficient trade route between Asia and Latin America.
The port's construction created over 3,000 local jobs. Since opening, it has driven regional development by supporting 21 priority projects in the catchment area. Local tourism has grown by 30–40%, and sectors such as restaurants and services have flourished, significantly contributing to sustainable development
