These honors strengthen Port City Colombo's international reputation as Sri Lanka's leading Special Economic Zone.
Recently, FDI Intelligence, an international organization on foreign direct investment under the Financial Times, released the Global Free Trade Zones of the Year Awards in the Asia Pacific Level Category, 2025. The Port City Colombo was awarded the winner of the Knowledge Zone of the Year and the runner-up of the Sustainable Zone of the Year. The Awards has become a key benchmark for assessing global investment and the sustainable development of economic zones.
These honors strengthen Port City Colombo's international reputation as Sri Lanka's leading Special Economic Zone, highlighting its role as a hub for knowledge-intensive industries and a driver of investment growth, as well as its commitment to delivering a top-tier business environment for investors across South Asia.
