Recently, the founding ceremony of the transportation LLM innovation and industry alliance and the inaugural meeting for transportation LLM were held in Beijing, marking a new phase in the development of integrated transport LLMs—from fragmented exploration to coordinated, collaborative development.
Guided by China's Ministry of Transport and hosted by CCCC, the event brought together 55 founding members spanning industry enterprises, AI companies, universities, and research institutes. The alliance covers all transport sectors—road, rail, water, air, postal, and integrated multimodal systems.
The creation of a comprehensive transport LLM represents a key step in advancing the “AI + Transportation” initiative. The alliance will focus on core technology breakthroughs, real-world scenario applications, shared industrial resources, and building robust governance and security systems. Members will work collaboratively to tackle critical technical challenges, including LLM training and multimodal data integration.
Song Hailiang, Chairman of CCCC and Alliance President, emphasized that CCCC will leverage its comprehensive strengths across transport, urban development, green digitalization, and equipment sectors. He underscored that integrating technological innovation with intelligent digital solutions will remain CCCC's core focus, contributing continuously to the advancement of transport solutions.
