Bintulu-Jepak bridge in Malaysia opened to traffic

The completion of the bridge has injected strong momentum into the economic and social development of the Bintulu region.

Recently, the Bintulu-Jepak bridge, built by CCCC, was officially opened to traffic. Premier of Sarawak Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg, attended the inauguration ceremony and renamed the bridge the Tun Taib Mahmud Bridge.
Since its trial opening on March 23, 2025, the bridge has been operating smoothly and its performance remains stable. The completion of the bridge has connected Bintulu with the airport, significantly improving transportation for local residents and injecting strong momentum into the economic and social development of the Bintulu region.
The opening ceremony was held at the Kemena River, where more than 5,000 guests and citizens gathered to witness this momentous event.
