Digital silk road: Launch of China-Kenya remote training program

This marks the largest and longest training initiative since the Mombasa-Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway's operation.

Recently, Afristar, in collaboration with Guangzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College, launched a three-month online training program for Kenyan employees. This marks the largest and longest training initiative since the Mombasa-Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway's inception.
The training program covers five major railway disciplines, offering 78 courses in total. This is a significant move by Afristar to accelerate the transfer of technology, aimed at deepening the cooperation between China and Kenya in the railway sector. It also contributes to the development of Africa's railway industry and the cultivation of high-quality local talent for Kenya's standard gauge railway.
Opening ceremony
During the ceremony, a representative of the Afristar employees, expressed that all participants would cherish the opportunity to participate in this training. Through strengthening their professional skills, they aim to support the safe and efficient development of Kenya's standard gauge railway.
