The Mombasa–Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway is 472km long and opened on May 31, 2017.
The Nariobi-Malaba Standard Gauge Railway has a total length of 487.5 km, with the first phase covering 120 kilometers, which opened to traffic on October 16, 2019.
