A marvel of engineering and a work of art! Witness the stunning fusion of ice and engineering! Recently, a meticulously crafted ice sculpture modeled after the China-Maldives Friendship Bridge, built by CCCC, made a dazzling debut at the Harbin Ice-Snow World, becoming a highlight of the sub-venue for the opening ceremony of the 9th Asian Winter Games.
The China-Maldives Friendship Bridge, spanning 2 kilometers, connects the Maldivian capital Malé, the Male Velana International Airport and Hulhumale Island. Opened in August 2018, this bridge marked the end of the Maldives' lack of a cross-sea bridge, significantly improving local transportation and bolstering the nation's economic and social development.
This masterpiece showcases the bridge's iconic arches and pillars, reflecting the unique Maldivian architectural style. More than just an artistic display, it stands as a vivid testament to the enduring friendship and cooperation between China and the Maldives.
