IRF 2024 Award for the category of Bridges & Tunnels for the Wujiang Bridge Project
The award was recently announced at the IRF World Congress 2024 in Istanbul, Turkey. Organized every four years, the congress is one of the world's largest infrastructure conferences, hosted by the IRF, which established this award in 1999 to recognize innovative and outstanding projects in bridge and tunnel design, construction, and management. It has become one of the most influential awards in the field of bridge and tunnel worldwide.
The Wujiang Bridge, spanning 1,834 meters with a main span of 504 meters, is the world' s largest concrete-filled steel tube deck arch bridge. Its innovative bearing-free force system, along with advanced computational methods and virtual pre-assembly techniques, has set new standards in prefabricated arch bridge development.
The buildingSMART Award for 1First Metro Line of Bogota
Awarded by the buildingSMART, this is the most prestigious global prize in the BIM industry. The project was recognized for its innovative use of openBIM in information management, effectively showcasing the application and seamless data flow of openBIM technology across four dimensions within a metro project.
MOSHPA Gold Award for Occupational Safety and Health Management in the Sabah ZLNG Terminal Project
The ZLNG project in Sabah, Malaysia, received the 2024 MOSHPA Gold Award for Occupational Safety and Health Management, the highest accolade by Malaysia' s leading safety auditing organization. This project excelled by leveraging local safety management expertise, establishing a comprehensive safety management system, and fostering a strong safety culture where "everyone is a safety officer" through regular emergency drills and training.
