World Bank delegation visits a bridge over the Rusizi river in Burundi

The recent completion of the bridge's foundation piling marks a significant milestone, laying a solid foundation for subsequent construction phases.

Recently, a World Bank delegation visited a bridge over the Rusizi river in Burundi, which is being constructed by CCCC First Highway Engineering Group.
The delegation expressed approval of the project's optimized bridge design and the current progress of construction.
The bridge spans the border between the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Burundi, with a total length of 126.86 meters. Once completed, the bridge is expected to enhance Burundi's national transportation network and foster closer ties in trade and transportation between Burundi and the DRC.
