On September 25, the 2023 Global Sustainable Transport Forum was opened in Beijing. Wang Tongzhou, Chairman of CCCC, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech on behalf of the company.

Wang Tongzhou stated that CCCC is a global leader in the field of transportation infrastructure, with business spanning five continents. Through major projects such as the Mombasa-Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, the Colombo Port City, CCCC has constructed roads, bridges, ports, and cities in 157 countries and regions, significantly promoting local economic development and social prosperity. CCCC is committed to "build a closer world, create a more livable city and live a better life." CCCC will further enhance cooperation and achieve win-win results with all parties in the future.

After the opening ceremony, participants toured the 15th International Exhibition on Transport Technology & Equipment and visited the CCCC exhibition hall and listened to Wang Tongzhou's report on the company's big transportation, big city and technological innovation. The CCCC exhibition hall showcased the company's development and significant projects, such as the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link, the Yangshan Deepwater Port in Shanghai, the Urumqi-Yuli Highway PPP Project in Xinjiang, the Pinglu Canal, and notable overseas projects like the East Coast Rail Link in Malaysia, the Colombo Port City in Sri Lanka, the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway in Cambodia, and the Souapiti hydropower plant in Guinea. The exhibition also featured significant equipment like the "Yi Hang Jin An 1" vessel integrating the floating transfer and installation of the immersed tubes, the "Tian Kun Hao" self-propelled cutter suction heavy dredger, and the "Shengli" tunnel boring machine through videos, sand tables, graphics, VR, and models.

The forum brought together approximately 1,000 Chinese and international representatives to discuss the grand plan for sustainable transportation development, focusing on connectivity, common development, innovation-driven growth, eco-prioritization, and global governance.

Wang Tongzhou also attended and addressed the side event themed on "high-quality infrastructure connectivity for interconnected regional economic development" on the morning of September 26 in Beijing. He also participated in the first membership meeting of the global sustainable transport innovation alliance.

In his speech, Wang Tongzhou stated that looking ahead, CCCC will adhere to green and low-carbon development, smart construction, and innovation-driven growth, to assist in reaching new heights of infrastructure connectivity and promoting mutually beneficial cooperation.

Moreover, the side event released 73 technical standards in different languages.

On the evening of September 25, the first membership meeting and founding ceremony of the global sustainable transport innovation alliance took place. Wang Tongzhou attended as a representative of the initiating side and addressed the meeting.

Wang Tongzhou expressed that CCCC would fully leverage its advantages to help the alliance better gather resources from within and outside the global transportation industry. This will promote innovation in global sustainable transportation and cooperation.

The alliance, jointly initiated by the China Sustainable Transport Innovation and Knowledge Center and renowned Chinese and international enterprises, will serve as a significant platform for the convergence of innovation, knowledge sharing, policy dialogue, consensus-building, and communication in the global sustainable transport sector.
