Wang Tongzhou delivers speech at the opening ceremony of the 20th China-ASEAN Expo

Wang Tongzhou, Chairman of CCCC, delivered a speech as a corporate representative at the opening ceremony.

On the morning of September 17, the opening ceremony of the 20th China-ASEAN Expo & China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit was held in Nanning, Guangxi. Wang Tongzhou, Chairman of CCCC, delivered a speech as a corporate representative at the opening ceremony.
In his address, Wang Tongzhou expressed that CCCC adheres to the development vision of "build a closer world, create a more livable city and live a better life." He pledged to fully leverage CCCC's advantages in the entire infrastructure industry chain and comprehensive integrated services to deepen cooperation with ASEAN countries.
First, CCCC will continue to deepen infrastructure connectivity, focus on key areas such as big transportation and big cities, and inject sustained momentum into China-ASEAN connectivity and mutual development.
Second, CCCC will continue to upgrade industries, aligning with green, low-carbon, and intelligent development trends. It aims to build a modern industrial system to support sustainable development in the ASEAN region.
Third, CCCC will continue to foster people-to-people bonds. Working together with relevant parties, CCCC will create more livelihood projects to jointly create a prosperous and beautiful future for China and ASEAN.
Following the opening ceremony, attendees toured the exhibition halls. At CCCC's exhibition booth, Wang Tongzhou introduced the company's development within the context of the Belt and Road Initiative and its engagement with ASEAN countries. CCCC's exhibition utilized various formats, including videos, sand tables, graphics, VR, and models, to showcase the company's overall development and iconic projects in Guangxi and the ASEAN region, such as the Pinglu Canal, the East Coast Rail Link in Malaysia, Cambodia's Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway, and the expressway in Semarang, Indonesia. The exhibition also highlighted the achievements of CCCC's Build Your Future Dream initiative in the ASEAN region.
Chen Zhong, Deputy General Manager of CCCC, participated in the opening ceremony of the expo and the 2023 China-ASEAN Production Capacity and Investment Cooperation Forum, where he delivered a presentation titled "Seizing New Opportunities in RCEP and Promoting New Regional Economic Development." During the conference, CCCC also held a special investment promotion session for overseas industrial parks, introducing projects like the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park (MCKIP) Project to partners in ASEAN countries.
This year's event features more than 70 economic and trade activities, with a focus on the development of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area. Over 40 countries are participating in the activities and nearly 2,000 companies are showcasing their products and services.
