CCCC attends news conference on early achievements of "A Hundred Companies in A Thousand Villages" activities and forum on corporate social responsibility of Chinese companies in Africa

CCCC actively implements the "A Hundred Companies in A Thousand Villages" initiative.

Recently, the Alliance of Chinese Companies in Africa for Corporate Social Responsibilities held a news conference on early achievements of "A Hundred Companies in A Thousand Villages" and a forum on corporate social responsibility of Chinese companies in Africa in Beijing. Liu Xiang, Member of the Board of Directors of CCCC, attended the event and delivered a keynote speech.

In his speech, Liu Xiang said that CCCC actively implements the "A Hundred Companies in A Thousand Villages" initiative, continuously promotes the deep integration of the "A Hundred Companies in A Thousand Villages" activity with the "CCCC Builds Dreams" action, builds high-quality projects and contributes to the sustainable eco-social development of Africa. In the next stage, CCCC will continue to carry out the  "A Hundred Companies in A Thousand Villages" activities and contribute more CCCC's wisdom and strength to building the China-Africa community with a shared future.
The event released a blue book on SOEs' (state-owned enterprises) contributions in the "A Hundred Companies in A Thousand Villages", which contains 80 effective and unique cases. CCCC-built Mombasa–Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway was awarded as one of the top ten cases of "A Hundred Companies in A Thousand Villages", and the turtle protection action at Ghana's Tema LNG terminal was selected as a excellent case for environment protection.

The "A Hundred Companies in A Thousand Villages" activities plan to mobilize at least 100 Chinese enterprises in Africa to carry out at least 1,000 activities or projects for public well-being to promote sustainable development of local economy, society and environment in three years.
