Recently, dignitaries from Sarawak of Malaysia visited CCCC- built projects in Sarawak.

Recently, Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Abang Openg, Chief Minister of Sarawak, Datuk Seri Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, Secretary General to the Chief Minister and Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Deputy Chief Minister of Sarawak, visited the BEPCC project of Sarawak Methanol Project and the Bintulu-Jepak Bridge constructed by CCCC.

Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Abang Openg visited the project on August 22. He listened to the detailed report on construction progress, safety construction and quality control at the project site. He fully affirmed the professional capacities of the CCCC team in the survey and design, construction quality control and safety management of the project.
After the visit, Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Abang Openg presented CCCC with the certificate to recognize CCCC's achievements in "5 million safe man hour without any Lost Time Injury (LTI)". He said that the completion of the methanol plant will attract the aviation manufacturers to Sarawak, and the BEPCC project, as an important supporting facility of the plant, is the only channel for transportation, which will help Sarawak to enter the downstream market of petrochemical industry in Malaysia after completion.
The BEPCC project a 3-kilometer trestle bridge, a 500-meter pile breakwater, two 15,000-ton berths, navigational dredging, onshore facilities as well as transportation pipeline and supporting equipment.

Before the visit, Datuk Seri Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, Secretary General to the Chief Minister of Sarawak and Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Deputy Chief Minister of Sarawak visited the Bintulu-Jepak Bridge to learn the progress of the project and the following construction plan.
Seri Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki pointed out that the project crosses the busy urban area, but in the past three years, the project has not received any complaints from the residents. Seri Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki fully affirmed the construction department's effective measures to ensure the smooth progress of the project while keeping the daily travel of the people in the city unaffected at the same time.
Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas pointed out that the Bintulu-Jepak Bridge will be an important link to benefit the development of the Bintulu area. In the following construction, all departments of the project should continue to maintain efficient construction standards and strive for early completion of the project.
The Bintulu-Jepak Bridge is 3,586 meters long, and is the first cable-stayed bridge with four lanes and two towers in East Malaysia at present. The project has entered the construction stage of the bridge itself, and the construction has gained high attention from the local government and people.
After completion, it will link Bintulu city and Bintulu Airport, providing convenient traffic conditions to nearly 300,000 people in the area, and will greatly promote the economic development of Bintulu and Jepak, and will become the most beautiful "new landmark" in Bintulu after completion.
