Nigerian President expresses his congratulations on the successful berthing of the first caogo ship at Lekki Port

Recently, the largest modern deep-water port in Nigeria, Lekki Port saw the berthing of the first caogo ship.

Recently, the largest modern deep-water port in Nigeria, Lekki Port, constructed by CHEC, a subsidiary of CCCC, saw the berthing of Zhenhua 28, the first cargo ship carrying port machinery equipments, which is the first cargo ship and the first batch of port machinery equipment to arrive at Lekki Port.

President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria expressed his congratulations on the berthing. He said that the operation of Lekki Port will create a lot of jobs, and promote Nigeria's foreign trade, help Nigeria improve the business environment and attract foreign investment.
The arrived equipment includes three large cranes and 10 gantry cranes. The equipment delivery marks that the port will soon have the capacity for container operation.
After the arrival of the equipment, the main work of the port is completed and the whole project is about to be completed.
The first phase of Lekki Port contains two berths with a total length of 680 meters. The annual designed capacity of Lekki Port is 1.2 million standard containers. Its operation will greatly relieve the pressure of local shipping and further promote the socio-economic development of Nigeria.
