The Samal Island-Davao City Connector Bridge is located in Mindanao, crossing over Pakiputan Strait. It is a cross-sea bridge connecting Davao City, the third largest city in the Philippines, and Samal Island, a beautiful garden island. The bridge is a two-tower cable-stayed bridge with four lanes and a total length of 3.86 kilometers, including a 1.62-kilometer section across the sea.
Project rendering
The bridge is an important economic cooperation project between China and the Philippines. After the completion of the project, driving time between the two sides of the Pakiputan Strait will only take 5 minutes, which will greatly boost the economic communication between Davao City and Samal Island and accelerate the development of tourism in Samal Island.
