Recently, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali visited the construction site of Abay River Cable-stayed Bridge Project in Bahadar constructed by CCCC.

 
Abiy Ahmed Ali fully affirmed the construction progress of the project, pointing out that CCCC has undertaken many important projects in Ethiopia and played an important role in strengthening infrastructure construction and promoting social and economic development in Ethiopia. The bridge is an important project in Ethiopia, and it is hoped that the project department would continue to strengthen management, give full play to its advantages in technology and talents, and complete the construction with high standards.
The project is located in Bahir Dar city, Amhara Region, Ethiopia, and it is a cable-stayed bridge with two short towers and three spans. It is the first large span cable-stayed bridge in Ethiopia. The main bridge is 380 meters long and 24.7 meters wide. After its completion, it will become an important new channel for Ethiopian National Highway 3 to cross the Blue Nile River and greatly promote the socio-economic development of the southern region of Bahir Dar city.
