Recently, Pedro Castillo, Peruvian President, Nicolás Bustamante, Minister of Transportation and Communications and Guillermo Bouroncle Calixto, General Manager of the National Port Authority of Peru visited the construction site of Chancay Port.

During the visit, Castillo pointed out, Chancay Port is 80 kilometers away from Lima. When it is completed, it will become an important hub for Peru to embrace the world and trade with China. The construction of the port will not only promote the development of international trade, but also promote the development of Peru's economy and people's livelihood. Chancay Port is the first large-scale transportation infrastructure project built by Chinese companies in Peru, and the Peruvian government will give full support to the construction of the project, hoping that the project will be completed on schedule with high quality and serve the economic development of Peru soon.
The construction of Chancay Port includes two multifunctional berths, two container terminal berths, primary and secondary breakwaters, dredging and backfilling, shore protection, beach protection, roads, storage yards and integrated office areas. After the project is completed, it will become an important maritime hub of the Belt and Road Initiative connecting to South America, helping Peru to build a logistics distribution center along the Pacific coast, and comprehensively promoting regional economic and social development.
