From May 21 to 22nd, CCCG Chairman Wang Tongzhou attended the opening ceremony of the 12th Expo Central China in Taiyuan upon invitation and delivered a keynote speech. During his stay in Shanxi, Wang Tongzhou also attended Shanxi Merchants and Shanxi Talents Supporting Transformation Development Conference and made an exchange speech.

On May 21, the 12th Expo Central China was convened in Taiyuan, Shanxi. Wang Tongzhou attended and addressed the event upon invitation. In his speech, Wang Tongzhou said that the central region, standing as a bridge between the east and west, and connecting south and north, is rich in resources, boasts well-developed transportation, and therefore carries great strategic significance. Since the implementation of the strategy for the rise of central China, great changes have taken place here and great achievements have been made. CCCG has always regarded the central region as a location of strategic significance for market expansion, cooperation and development. As a strategic partner that shares the same destiny with the central region, CCCG has given full play to its advantages, actively participated in the construction and development of six provinces in central China, and focused on modernization to build a comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network; focused on digitalization to build the region into a hub of scientific and technological innovation; focused on internationalization to build the region into an open highland in the inland; and focused on ecological civilization to create a beautiful central region with green development. CCCG will contribute more CCCG wisdom, CCCG solutions, and CCCG power to the high-quality development of the central region.

During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, CCCG has constructed more than 2,000 investment projects in six provinces in central China, with an amount of 400 billion yuan, covering roads and bridges, urban development, and ecological and environmental protection. A number of key projects, undertaken by CCCG, have been constructed, such as the Taiyuan–Zhongwei–Yinchuan railway, Zhengzhou-Wanzhou high-speed Railway, Zhuankou Yangtze River Bridge, and Tongshan-Wuning expressway.

In his speech, Wang Tongzhou said that as early as 1965, starting with the Beijing-Yuanping Railway project, CCCG started to contribute to Shanxi’s development. CCCG has served Shanxi’s development through integrating into Shanxi to develop Shanxi. At present, Shanxi is studying and implementing in an in-depth manner the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech during his inspection to Shanxi, following the overall idea for Shanxi’s development, focusing on the breakthroughs in six areas, and striding forward in high-quality transformation and development. As a strategic partner that shares the same destiny with Shanxi, CCCG will give full play to its own advantages and actively participate in the construction of Shanxi, build a pilot province for the building of a country with strong transportation network; create a comprehensive transformation pilot zone based on industrial upgrading; build smart and livable cities based on city-industry Integration; and build a green and beautiful Shanxi based on ecological remediation.
