On July 18, the ESG China Forum 2021 Summer Summit, jointly hosted by CCCG, China Social Responsibility 100 Forum and China Reform Holdings Corporation Ltd., was held in Beijing. Wang Tongzhou, Chairman of CCCG, delivered an opening speech, and Zhong Hongwu, Professor of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Secretary General of China Social Responsibility 100 Forum, presided over the meeting.

In his speech, Wang Tongzhou noted that the ESG concept is in line with the connotation of the new development concept and the requirements of high-quality development. CCCG has been actively practicing the ESG concept, fully serving the construction of ecological civilization, integrating environmental protection into the whole process of engineering design, construction and operation, making every effort to fight against epidemics, fighting against poverty and helping the needy by all means, carrying out systematic activities to fulfill its responsibilities overseas for a long time, insisting on compliance operation, and building a deeply integrated, well-connected and efficiently functioning corporate governance system. CCCG has prepared and published "five-star" social responsibility reports for 14 consecutive years, and released the first "Belt and Road" overseas compliance report in 2020, making it an in-depth subscriber, firm practitioner and exemplary pioneer of ESG philosophy.

ESG, namely Environment, Social and Governance, is a development concept and corporate evaluation standard that focuses on corporate environmental protection, social externalities and corporate governance performance, with the core concept of pursuing the maximization of integrated economic, environmental and social values. CCCC Environment, Social and Governance Report 2020 was released at the Summit, which is the first independent ESG report released by CCCC. The report comprehensively presents CCCC's ESG management and practice, reflecting the compliance, foresight and innovation of CCCC's ESG practice. "China Top 100 Technology Companies ESG Index" was also released, which is an index formed by evaluating the ESG of the top 100 technology companies selected from 3580 industries in the CSI All-Share Index. As an important part of the construction of China's ESG evaluation system, the index takes into account the R&D capability, financial performance and ESG performance of technology companies. The preparation of "China ESG Report Preparation Guide (CHINA-ESG5.0)" was also launched at the conference, which is the first and only ESG report guide in China.
