Cameroon's first highway operational

Cameroon's first expressway undertaken by CCCC starts operation.

Recently, CCCC's subsidiary CCCC First Highway Engineering officially obtained the commencement order for the operation and maintenance of the Yaoundé-Douala Highway, which was authorized by the Prime Minister of Cameroon and issued by the Cameroonian Ministry of Public Works. It marks Cameroon's first expressway undertaken by CCCC starts operation.

The project is the first expressway in Cameroon, with a total length of 59.3 kilometers, six lanes, and a design speed of 110 kilometers per hour. The main project has passed the provisional acceptance at the end of December 2021.
The operation and maintenance project includes the preparation of construction drawings for operation and maintenance, the installation of mechanical and electrical systems, and the construction of toll stations and service areas, with an estimated operation and maintenance time of 30 years. The project is an important guarantee for promoting the smooth operation of the highway, providing safe, efficient and high-quality modern expressway services, and fully playing the role and economic value of the highway.
