On March 10, CCCC held the inaugural meeting of the CCCC Association for Science and Technology in Beijing and signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST). CCCC is the first central enterprise to implement the content of the comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement signed with CAST. Zhang Yuzhuo, Executive Vice President of CAST, and Wang Tongzhou, Chairman of CCCC attended the meeting and witnessed the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement. Wang Haihuai, General Manager of CCCC, presided over the inaugural meeting.

Zhang Yuzhuo pointed out in his speech at the inaugural meeting that in recent years, CCCC has been making its plans according to the trend of the times and forging ahead in response to national strategies. It has insisted on putting innovation at the core of development, conquered a number of key technologies, successfully implemented national major projects such as the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games, and made outstanding contributions to a modern comprehensive transportation system. The establishment of the CCCC Association for Science and Technology will further activate academic exchanges, build a new platform for promoting scientific innovation, fulfilling social responsibilities, highlight the value of talents and participating in global governance, and injectnew momentum into the high-quality development of CCCC.

On behalf of CCCC, Wang Tongzhou extended a warm welcome to the guests and paid high tribute to all scientists and engineers of CCCC. He said that the establishment of the CCCC Association for Science and Technology is an important step for CCCC to implement the policy of strengthening the "national team" of science and technology innovation, and it is also a key step for CCCC to build a science-oriented, management-oriented and quality-oriented world-class enterprise. For the future, CCCC needs to pay more attention to the leading role of key science and technology to be a role model of high-level self-reliance in science and technology. First, we should pool the wisdom and efforts of all people, be a booster to serve the high-quality development of the company, make "science and wisdom leading" the most distinctive feature of CCCC, gather the leading scientific and technological talents and high-level creative teams, stimulate the enthusiasm of all employees to innovate, and promote globalization and cross-sectoral innovation. Second, we should build a mechanism to motivate vitality, be an incubator of an innovation environment, speed up the construction of a service system for the company's science association to promote high-level self-reliance in science and technology, build a system for sharing science and technology resources, and establish a mechanism for academic exchange and sharing among science and technology personnel. Third, we should gather talents and make the most of them, to be the "escort" for the growth of scientists and engineers, actively build a platform for the recommendation of scientific and technological talents, build a "home for scientists and engineers", and promote the spirit of scientists and craftsmen.

At the meeting, Zhang Yuzhuo and Wang Tongzhou jointly unveiled the nameplate of the CCCC Association for Science and Technology.

Before the meeting, the guests visited the exhibition hall of CCCC and had an informal discussion. Wang Haihuai and Lyu Zhaoping, Executive Secretary of the Secretariat of CAST, signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of both sides. According to the agreement, the two sides will play their respective advantages to jointly strengthen national strategic science and technologies in transportation infrastructure, serve to improve the scientific literacy of all people, cultivate and quality of outstanding innovative talents, and promote openness, trust and cooperation in the international science and technology section in transportation infrastructure.

Other leaders of CCCC, Liu Xiang, Sun Ziyu, Pei Minshan, and Zhang Xigang, Chief Engineer of CCCC attended the meeting.
