On July 13, in celebration of annual Wildlife and Aquatic Animal Conservation Day of Laos, a series of tree planting and fish release activities were organized at three hydropower stations in Laos: Nam Ngum 1 Hydropower Plant, Nam Ngum 1-2 Hydropower Plant, and Nam Ngiep 2 Hydropower Project. These stations are constructed by CCCC's subsidiary, CWE, as part of its ongoing commitment to environmental protection.
This year's activities saw the participation of over 180 people, including employees from the hydropower stations, local government officials, villagers, and students. Together, they planted 2,660 trees and released 150,000 fish.
Following the event, local school students visited the Nam Ngum 1 Hydropower Plant, where they learned about its flood control and water management functions and gained a deeper understanding of the role of technology in environmental protection.
CWE has been operating in Laos for nearly 30 years, consistently adhering to a green development philosophy. The company places great emphasis on ecological conservation, regularly conducting tree planting and fish release activities, and strengthening water quality monitoring to ensure a greener, cleaner, and more beautiful environment.
