Recently, 18 students from the Mamou Electrical Institute in Guinea began a two-week apprenticeship at the Kaleta and Souapiti hydropower plants, both built and operated by CWE.

The plant's operations and maintenance team designed a training program tailored to the students' majors, covering safety management, operating procedures, and equipment handling. The students visited key areas such as the generator and turbine floors. Under the guidance of front-line technicians, they observed auxiliary equipment and the operation of power distribution systems, turning classroom theory into practical understanding.

Over the two weeks, they deepened their professional knowledge, broadened their practical experience, and gained a stronger sense of responsibility. From campus to powerhouse, this hydropower project is lighting the way forward for young Guineans.
