Upon opening, the bridge will cut travel time between Kuching and Sri Aman—boosting Sarawak's economic growth.

Over 80 faculty and students from the Club of Civil Engineering Unimas Students (CoCEUS), representing Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) visited the Sejingkat Bridge project for hands-on learning.
They toured the P9 approach bridge on the northern bank, gaining insights into the bridge's design, structural features, construction challenges, and key methods. In discussions with project engineers, they explored technical standards integration, green construction, safety management, while learning about the project management system and construction achievements.
The visit offered Malaysian engineering students direct exposure to Chinese enterprises' technical expertise, rigorous management, and commitment to social responsibility—and deepened their understanding of infrastructure's role in improving livelihoods and driving regional development.
The 1.28-km bridge features a 200+400+200 m main span and 25.6-m width. With the recent successful closure of the P7 side span, final completion is on track. Upon opening, it will cut travel time between Kuching and Sri Aman—boosting Sarawak's economic growth.
