Recently, the Kaleta Hydropower Plant and Souapiti Hydropower Station in Guinea held an open day event, welcoming over 100 students and faculty members from the School of Engineering at Kofi Annan University of Guinea.
During the visit, the students toured key facilities of the two hydropower stations—including the dams, powerhouses, and central control rooms—gaining firsthand insight into the process of clean energy generation.
The immersive learning experience provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of how hydropower stations operate and deepened their appreciation of the critical role green infrastructure, such as hydropower, plays in supporting Guinea’s energy transition.
