The graduation ceremony for the first batch of assistant train driver trainees for the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project was recently held at Liuzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College.
This training program highlights the close collaboration between China and Malaysia in cultivating railway talent. Over the course of three weeks, 37 trainees significantly enhanced their railway operation skills. Upon returning to Malaysia, they will undergo a three-month internship, after which they will officially join the ECRL project upon passing their evaluations.
Speaking on behalf of the trainees, one representative said that they will bring these skills back to Malaysia, apply them to practical work, and contribute to the development of Malaysia's railway industry.
As an educational partner for the ECRL project, Liuzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College has trained a total of 1,395 trainees to date.
