ECRL engineers brought safety education to over 500 students in Pahang, Malaysia, with CPR demos and site safety tips. Through outreach like this, the 600km rail project builds not just tracks—but trust and friendship.

Recently, the ECRL (East Coast Rail Link) project team carried out a session of its "Thousands of Engineers Enter the Classroom" campaign at SMJK Hwa Lian Mentakab, a middle school in Pahang, Malaysia.
Over 500 students and teachers participated in an engaging safety class that included hands-on CPR training and explanations of engineering site safety. A local safety officer used examples from the track-laying process, incorporating interactive Q&A to help students build awareness of safety practices.
The ECRL stretches approximately 600 kilometers through 20 cities across four Malaysian states. The project team continues to strengthen safety awareness in local communities along the route through public outreach activities like these.
