Recently, CWE and the National Academy of Fine Arts, Laos, jointly held a painting activity at the Nam Lik 1-2 Hydropower Station and nearby Pak Ngua School.
As part of the sixth edition of the "Lancang-Mekong Book Fragrance" initiative in Laos, the activity included a power station tour, a painting class and a Mid-Autumn Festival celebration, integrating project knowledge and cultural exchange into an engaging learning experience.

Teachers and students from Pak Ngua School first visited the Nam Lik 1-2 Hydropower Station, touring the powerhouse, dam and central control room to learn about clean energy generation, the safe and stable operation of the power station, and its achievements in ecological conservation.

Later, at a painting class at Pak Ngua School, the students received professional guidance from teachers at the National Academy of Fine Arts of Laos and used their brushes to depict the green power station as they saw it and the vibrant scenery along both banks of the Mekong River. Their lively paintings reflected their enthusiasm for exploring green energy and their heartfelt hopes for a better home.
The activity coincided with the Mid-Autumn Festival. The students learned about the festival's origins and experienced its cultural traditions.
At the end of the activity, the company donated textbooks, stationery and other educational supplies to the school.
Teachers at the school expressed their sincere gratitude for the company's long-standing care and support, saying the activity provided students with a valuable platform for art and science education, broadening their horizons and enriching their knowledge.
Since investing in, building and operating the Nam Lik 1-2 Hydropower Station, CWE has supported Pak Ngua School for nearly 20 consecutive years. Since its launch in 2021, the "Lancang-Mekong Book Fragrance" public welfare initiative has reached five local schools, donating more than 10,000 books and establishing two Lancang-Mekong Book Houses. The first Lancang-Mekong Book House is located at Pak Ngua School.
