Recently, CHEC's project team of the Solomon Islands National Broadband Infrastructure Project held a "Thousands of Engineers Enter the Classroom" event at a secondary school in Honiara.
CHEC has delivered major infrastructure projects in Solomon Islands, including roads, bridges, universities, and airports. The project will expand communications coverage and directly benefit 35.8% of the population.
The project's chief engineer gave a presentation on base station construction and explained how the project supports local economic growth, education access, and healthcare. During the interactive session, engineers answered student and teacher questions on engineering topics, fostering an engaging atmosphere.
At the end, the team donated teaching and learning supplies to the school.
The principal said the event deepened students' understanding of engineering and sparked their interest in science. He expressed hope for more collaboration and future exchange activities with CHEC.
