"Wanna be rich? Build roads first!" CCCC is committed to overcoming natural barriers and building roads of hope that connect mountainous regions to the outside world.
"We want to pave roads throughout the mountains, enabling smooth paths to serve as lifelines delivering energy to the villages," said an employee of the Quanzhou-Rongxian Expressway project upon witnessing how the vast mountains isolated local communities.
The Quanzhou-Rongxian Expressway spans 87 kilometers. Once completed, it will significantly improve logistics in the mountainous areas, enabling local farmers to efficiently transport fruits like oranges, sand pears, and loquats to markets outside the region. Meanwhile, better transportation will turn previously remote villages into popular tourist destinations.
Similarly, the Jiaozuo-Jiyuan Expressway in the Taihang Mountains is nearing completion. This highway will benefit 11 townships and 20 remote villages along its route, injecting vitality into the region's development.
With the new expressway about to open, young people from villages along the route are increasingly optimistic about their hometowns'future. Many are returning home to start businesses such as pick-your-own orchards and guesthouses, attracting more visitors to the scenic Taihang Mountains. The area's agricultural products will also reach more distant markets via the highway, further boosting local economic growth.
