Zemun-Borca Bridge in Serbia

The first bridge constructed by a Chinese enterprise in Europe

In December 2015, the 1,482-meter Zemun-Borca Bridge, spanning the Danube River, was opened. This bridge ended the 70-year period during which Belgrade had only one bridge over the Danube. The travel time from Belgrade city center to Borca was reduced from one hour to ten minutes. The bridge and its linking-up roads span about 21.26 kilometers and feature six lanes.
