Spanning 27.1 kilometers, the road is an expressway connecting downtown Nairobi to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, passing through key landmarks such as the central business district, the National Museum, the National Stadium, the Parliament Building, and the State House. The opening of the project reduced the travel time from the airport to the city center from 2 hours to 20 minutes, significantly improving traffic conditions in downtown Nairobi and acting as a powerful catalyst for the capital's socioeconomic development.
