Kribi Deepwater Port in Cameroon

Cameroon's first large-scale deep-sea port

Serving as a model of tripartite cooperation among China, France, and Cameroon, the port is constructed in two phases. The first phase was put into operation in March 2018, and the second phase commenced operations in May 2025, reaching an annual container throughput capacity of 700,000 TEUs and a bulk cargo capacity of 1.2 million tons. The project has significantly supported the socioeconomic development of Cameroon and Central African countries, emerging as a major container transshipment hub and comprehensive hub port in the region.
