The project involved land reclamation to create a land area of approximately 269 hectares and a water area of 135 hectares, establishing a multi-functional new central business district in Colombo that integrates commercial, residential, and recreational facilities. It is expected that over 200,000 people will work and live here in the future. The port city will generate over 83,000 job opportunities, acting as an economic hub and commercial center to serve as a key driver of growth for Sri Lanka's socioeconomic development.
