Chancay Port in Peru

South America's first sustainable and smart port

Located approximately 80 kilometers north of the Peruvian capital of Lima, Chancay Port serves as a hub port and Pacific gateway for Peru and Latin America, featuring 4 berths. The port has an initial designed annual throughput capacity of 1 million TEUs for containers and 6 million tons for bulk cargo. As a new land-sea corridor between China and Latin America, the Chancay-Shanghai "maritime expressway" reduces logistics travel time between the two regions by approximately 10 days and lowers costs by over 20%. Furthermore, the project generated numerous direct and indirect employment opportunities, significantly facilitating regional economic cooperation and global trade prosperity.
