Donghai Bridge Offshore Wind Farm Project

Asia's first offshore wind farm

Situated in the waters east of the Donghai Bridge in Shanghai, the project was connected to the grid in early June 2010. The facility operates 34 wind turbines, each with a 3 MW capacity, yielding a total installed capacity of 102 MW. Generated power is transmitted onshore via submarine cables, supplying electricity to over 200,000 households in Shanghai annually and reducing carbon emissions equivalent to saving nearly 100,000 tons of coal.
