Spanning Guangdong and Hunan provinces, the 236.7-kilometer expressway includes 176 bridges, 19 tunnels, and 16 toll stations. The dual six-lane highway operates with a designed speed of 120 kilometers per hour. The opening of the project has significantly improved mobility in northern Guangdong, cutting travel time between Lianzhou and Guangzhou from 3.5 hours to approximately 2 hours.
