During construction of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link, CCCC upheld green construction principles to protect the Chinese white dolphin, known as "the giant panda of the sea." Measures included forming professional dolphin monitoring teams, using low-noise technology, and establishing pollution control systems. The efforts minimized ecological impact, and dolphin populations in the Pearl River Estuary increased, setting an eco-friendly benchmark for global mega projects.
