Lekki Port

The Lekki Port, constructed, invested, and operated by CHEC, commenced operations on January 23, 2023. It stands as Nigeria's first modern deep-water port and one of the largest ports in West Africa, with an annual designed handling capacity of 1.2 million standard containers. Since its inauguration, the port has significantly boosted Nigeria's foreign trade, injecting new momentum into its economic development while continuously creating numerous job opportunities, thereby benefiting the livelihoods of its citizens. During the concession period, it is expected to generate 170,000 direct and indirect job opportunities for Nigeria and bring about a total economic benefit of 361 billion US dollars.
