Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić recently visited two major infrastructure projects undertaken by CRBC: The section from Preljina to Požega of the E763 Highway project, and the Novi Sad–Ruma Expressway.
Aleksandar Vučić noted that upon completion, the projects will significantly enhance intercity connectivity across central and western Serbia, while also boosting local economy and tourism.
The Preljina–Požega section spans 30.2 kilometers, with a design speed of 120 km/h. Nearly one-third of the route consists of bridges and tunnels. The main structures have now been completed, and installation of mechanical and electrical systems is underway in the critical Munjino Brdo tunnel.
The Novi Sad–Ruma Expressway stretches 45.18 kilometers. A key project is the 3.5-kilometer tunnel Iriški Venac, the longest tunnel currently under construction in Serbia. Excavation has now surpassed 6,000 meters in total.
Once operational, both projects will further strengthen Serbia's road network and enhance the country's role as a vital hub within the Pan-European transport corridors.
