The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area's cross-river and cross-sea transport network gains a new critical link! On December 11, the Huangmaohai Sea-Crossing Passage, in which CCCC participated, began trial operations.
Spanning approximately 31 kilometers with six lanes in either direction, its control project, the Gaolan Port Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge featuring a 700-meter main span with a single-tower, double-cable-plane, fully floating system. Once operational, it reduces travel time from Zhuhai's Gaolan Port to Taishan in Jiangmen from 1 hour to under 30 minutes.
It enhances connectivity within the Greater Bay Area, optimizes the regional expressway network, and supports the development of the western Pearl River Delta's manufacturing base. Additionally, it contributes to the integrated #development of the Hengqin Free Trade Zone, Gaolan Port, and the Daguang Bay Economic Zone.
