Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway

  • On June 21, 2022, the main line of Cambodia's Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway is successfully completed.

  • On October 1, 2022, Cambodia's Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway is opened to traffic.

Upholding the concept of building a green road, the CCCC project team has planted characteristic seedlings on the roadside in some noise-sensitive areas as local temples and schools, and built a 35-kilometer-long green noise reduction forest belt. The Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway will become a green expressway in harmony with the nature.

As the first expressway in Cambodia, the four-lane Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway links Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville, with a total length of 187.05 kilometers and a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour. After the completion of the project, the driving time between Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville will be shortened from 5 hours to less than 2 hours, which will greatly promote the local economic and social development.
