While working to bring a modern transportation system to Bogota's millions of people, the CCCC team is striving to protect this habitat for countless species in the best way possible. Since August 10, 2021, the project team has transplanted and treated 133 rare trees of all kinds as well as monitored, rescued, transferred and protected 118 different types of rare animals, involving various precious species including prairie rattlesnake, swamp snake, swamp harrier and prairie frog.
 

As the largest municipal project in the history of Colombia, the PLMB is a model of win-win cooperation between China and Colombia. After the completion of the project, it will greatly improve the traffic and livelihood of Bogota people and fulfill the 70-year dream of Bogota citizens for a subway. The PLMB is designed to have a total length of 23.96 kilometers, including the construction of 16 stations and the procurement of 30 metro cars, using the highest level automated driverless system, the UTO fully automated driverless system. After the completion of the project, it will greatly improve the traffic and livelihood of Bogota people and fulfill the 70-year dream of Bogota citizens for a subway.
