The Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway traverses through a natural conservation area, where numerous wildlife resides. To prevent them from getting injured by the wire mesh, protective panels have been added on both sides of the 21-kilometer-long wire mesh. Moreover, substantial investments were made to construct multiple animal passages, ensuring the unhindered migration of animals.
