The pleasant scene of unimpeded watercourse, clear water, green grass, and beautiful scenery has gradually unfolded before the residents living near the river.

With clear water and green banks, over a hundred egrets play and forage by the river. The once-stinky Nanchang River is now experiencing renewed vitality.
Previously, more than 40,000 residents were producing sewage, which was directly discharged into the river, making Nanchang River one of the most severely polluted rivers in Qianhai, Shenzhen, with a polluted section nearly one kilometer long.
The CCCC was responsible for the project's ecological governance, which required the installation of four kilometers of sewage pipes beneath the nearly 3.8-kilometer-long river. During the process, it was essential not only to ensure that the aquatic resources in the unpolluted section were not destroyed, but also to protect the environment of the residents living along the river's banks.
During the construction period, the project increased dust prevention facilities in the construction area by the river, regularly monitored air quality, arranged watering trucks to sprinkle water to control dust, and covered all exposed soil with green mesh. At the same time, multiple sewage treatment plants were established along the riverbank to treat sewage, and personnel were organized to regularly clean up floating debris on the river's surface. During the six-month construction period, no secondary pollution occurred in any section of the river. The project established two sets of drainage systems, one for rainwater and the other for sewage, and moderately replenished the river through the rainwater system.
As of now, the project has been completed and is undergoing final acceptance. The pleasant scene of unimpeded watercourse, clear water, green grass, and beautiful scenery has gradually unfolded before the residents living near the river.
