Mombasa–Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway boosts Kenya's GDP growth by 2%

The Mombasa–Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway has driven the economic and social development of the areas along the route in Kenya.

On February 15, according to a report by People's Daily Online, the Mombasa–Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway has contributed to a 2% increase in Kenya's GDP growth.
The Mombasa–Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway has shortened the travel time between the two cities from over 10 hours to less than 5 hours, changed the way Kenyan people travel and their travel experience, and driven the economic and social development of the areas along the route in Kenya.
With a total length of 472 kilometers, the Mombasa–Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway was awarded the ENR's Best Project Rail/Transit and has been recognized by foreign media as one of the "13 best railway travel routes in the world." CNN has also listed this railway as one of the most worthwhile experiences when traveling to Kenya.
